# How to change a FileZilla server users password on Windows Server


# How to change a FileZilla server user's password.

Follow this guide, if you have installed FileZilla server, and you need to change a user's password.

1. Firstly, make sure FileZilla server is running, and open the administrator interface.

2. Click on `Connect to server`
3. A dialogue will appear prompting you to enter in your login details. Enter in your password here, and optionally you can select `Save the password` .

4. Press `Ok` .
5. If this is the first time you have connected to this server, you will be asked to trust the certificate. If the fingerprint matches what was shown in the installation, you can press `yes` .

6. You are now in the configuration area of FileZilla server
7. Click on `Server`, then `Configure` .

8. Wait while the window loads.
9. Click on `Users`

10. Select the user which you want to change the password for.
11. Then, enter in the new password for the user.

12. Click on `Apply`.
13. The users password has now been changed! They can now connect with the new password.
