How to create, manage, or delete a client area sub-user

Only create a client area sub-user for people you trust. If all they need is access to the server, do not create a client area sub-user for them.

A sub-user in the client area is someone who will have access to various aspects of your billing account. You can choose what permissions to give this user, such as the ability to pay invoices, open tickets on your behalf, etc.

Create a client area sub-user

If you want to create a new sub-user for your client area account, follow the steps below.

Head over to the client area, and head to User Management.

Then, under Invite New User enter in their email address.

Here you can also choose whether to grant them all permissions ( dangerous!) or customise their permissions.

Once you are happy with their permissions, click Send Invite.

The new user will now get an email from us to accept the invitation to have access to your account. They will have to either login or register an account to accept the invite. This is easy and only takes a few seconds.

You can also resend or cancel the invite if required.

Managing Permissions

If you want to manage an existing users permissions, you can do this by following the steps below.

Head over to the client area, and head to User Management.

Locate the user you want to manage the permissions for, and click Manage Permissions.

Here you can select which permissions you want the user to have, and then click Save at the bottom.

The changes have been saved and the user has the new permissions.

Delete a client area sub-user

If you want to delete a sub-user for your client area account, follow the steps below.

Head over to the client area, and head to User Management.

Locate the user you want to manage the permissions for, and click Remove Access.

You will get a popup asking you to confirm this action. Press Confirm if you are sure.

The user has now been deleted, and they no longer have access to your account.
