# How to update your Minecraft servers version

This guide showcases how to update your Minecraft JAVA server. 

|| This guide is not for the Bedrock edition of Minecraft, only the Java edition.

1. First, login to the [VoltHosting game server panel](https://panel.volthosting.co.uk/). If you're unsure how to, view our [Logging Into Your Game Panel](https://wiki.volthosting.co.uk/en/article/logging-into-your-game-panel-1pygabl/) guide.

2. Then, go to `Configuration`-> `Advanced` .

3. Select the new version you want to use under `Install Different Edition` and click `Install Server`.

4. Go to the console page and click `Start`.

5. Your Minecraft server has been updated.
