# Why is your domain on "pending"?

Sometimes after ordering a domain with VoltHosting, you may see that the domain is still in the "pending" status. This is because VoltHosting staff may need to approve your domain. We do this to prevent fraud and ensure that all people purchasing domains have the best experience possible. Usually, a VoltHosting team member will approve your domain within an hour and you'll be on your way. You'll receive an email once your domain is approved, so watch out for that.
