How to update your Minecraft servers version

This guide showcases how to update your Minecraft JAVA server.


This guide is not for the Bedrock edition of Minecraft, only the Java edition.


  1. First, login to the VoltHosting game server panel. If you're unsure how to, view our Logging Into Your Game Panel guide.


  1. Then, go to Configuration-> Advanced .


  1. Select the new version you want to use under Install Different Edition and click Install Server.


Do NOT select the format option.



  1. Go to the console page and click Start.



  1. Your Minecraft server has been updated.
